Where agony lies veiled, in covert repose.

Eyes guarded by the subtlest lace,

Forbidden memories in the shadows it

bestows.

Is love not true when unreasoned passion

burns away?  And the one you cherish is

holding the matches?  No matter how much

you wish them to stay,  Just hope your heart

is all the flame catches.

Gather together the remnants of nothing

With pure desperation clutching the ashes.

No use in healing while the wound is still

gushing  What’s left but to wait until love

simply passes.
