I take it in gulps

-Ruby Browning

let it linger on the tip of my tongue

sharp sourness, burning my shattered crystal lips

sweet freshness bursting between my teeth.

I let it fill my mouth, float through my jaw, my outstretched hands, pouring into me with sweetness I cannot describe.

Every poem I have ever seen has been about relationships and love and oranges.

such strange comparison, how it makes perfect sense, and we all think so without ever having to discuss, just is. Pure truth. No pith, no pulp, no seeds, nothing in the way.

So, I will fill my body with orange juice and my life with you, for these are the things I will always want more of.
